Jesus warned his disciples to beware the leaven of the scribes and the pharisees. They were confused and thought he was speaking about the fact that they had no bread. Jesus asked them, "Do you not yet understand?" He was speaking about the doctrine of the scribes and pharisees. He is also reminding them that they have never gone without bread, and they need to trust in Him.
