Matthew 21: The Triumphal Entry

Jesus' entry into Jerusalem on a donkey culminated in his death on the cross. Why do we call it the triumphal entry? Because Jesus accomplished exactly what he set out to do: enter the city as the promised king, overthrow the corrupt religious system, and pay the price as the final spotless lamb.
