Psalms Book 3: Leviticus

God establishes a Covenant system for His people to be in his presence, through the temple, the priesthood, and sacrifice. But the people continually fail to uphold their end of the covenant. The psalms of this section recognize the holiness of God, lament the failure of man to uphold this covenant system, and point us towards the new Covenant with a temple not made with hands, a perfect high priest, and a Once and for All sacrifice, all fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
